چکیده

Matching life science ontologies to determine ontology mappings has recently become an active field of research. The large size of existing ontologies and the application of complex match strategies for obtaining high quality mappings makes ontology matching a resourceand time-intensive process. To improve performance we investigate different approaches for parallel matching on multiple compute nodes. In particular, we consider inter-matcher and intramatcher parallelism as well as the parallel execution of elementand structurelevel matching. We implemented a distributed infrastructure for parallel ontology matching and evaluate different approaches for parallel matching of large life science ontologies in the field of anatomy and molecular biology.

Centralized Clustering Method To Increase Accuracy In Ontology Matching Systems

Ontology is the main infrastructure of the Semantic Web which provides facilities for integration, searching and sharing of information on the web. Development of ontologies as the basis of semantic web and their heterogeneities have led to the existence of ontology matching. By emerging large-scale ontologies in real domain, the ontology matching systems faced with some problem like memory con...

GOMMA results for OAEI 2012

We present the OAEI 2012 evaluation results for the matching system GOMMA developed at the University of Leipzig. The original application focus of GOMMA has been the life science domain but as a generic tool it can also match ontologies from other areas. It could thus participate in all OAEI tracks running on the SEALS platform. GOMMA supports several methods for efficiently matching large ont...

Towards Large-Scale Schema and Ontology Matching

The purely manual specification of semantic correspondences between schemas is almost infeasible for very large schemas or when many different schemas have to be matched. Hence, solving such large-scale match tasks asks for automatic or semi-automatic schema matching approaches. Large-scale matching needs especially be supported for XML schemas and different kinds of ontologies due to their inc...

Mapping Composition for Matching Large Life Science Ontologies

There is an increasing need to interrelate different life science ontologies in order to facilitate data integration or semantic data analysis. Ontology matching aims at a largely automatic generation of mappings between ontologies mostly by calculating the linguistic and structural similarity of their concepts. In this paper we investigate an indirect computation of ontology mappings that comp...

AgreementMakerLight: A Scalable Automated Ontology Matching System

Ontology matching is a critical task to enable interoperability between the numerous life sciences ontologies with overlapping domains. However, it is a task made difficult by the size of many of these ontologies. AgreementMakerLight (AML) is a scalable automated ontology matching system developed primarily for the life sciences domain. It can handle large ontologies efficiently, specializes in...
